Terry Kaye is the founder and visionary behind Terry Kaye Events, a boutique wedding and event planning firm based in Virginia’s scenic Hunt Country.  With over 25 years in the industry, Terry has honed her craft and built a reputation for creating seamless, elegant, and unforgettable celebrations.  Her experience spans a wide range of events—from intimate weddings to large corporate galas—but her true passion lies in curating extraordinary weddings and special occasions that feel personal, intentional, and effortless.

Before founding Terry Kaye Events, Terry began her career at Marriott and Aramark, where she gained invaluable experience managing high-profile, large-scale events.  But it was in planning personal celebrations that she found her calling—combining her love for detail, design, and the joy of bringing people together.  What sets Terry apart is her deep understanding of the event process, from big picture to the tiniest of details, and her ability to craft experiences that are both breathtaking and stress-free.

Terry’s approach is rooted in a deep passion for the work she does.  It’s not just about the logistics—it’s about creating an atmosphere where her clients can fully enjoy every moment of their event.  Whether it’s a luxurious estate wedding, a custom-designed tented celebration, or an intimate gathering, Terry’s brand is all about making every event feel like a true reflection of her clients' personalities, dreams, and values.  Every detail is purposefully planned, every moment thoughtfully executed, and the result is always an event that feels as natural as it is beautiful.

Originally from New York, Terry now calls Virginia’s Hunt Country home, where she lives with her husband, three boys, and their energetic Jack Russell.  When she’s not planning weddings, you’ll find her cooking while drinking a glass of red wine, traveling, skiing with her boys, or out in nature - hand in hand with the love of her life.

Food feeds my soul and I am often inspired by restaurant design, table and glassware, and am always delighted by beautifully prepared food.

Interior design magazines are always scattered around my home. They often set trends for weddings and events and I am always inspired by Elle Decor, Architectural Digest, & Southern Home. I am drawn towards classic homes with a modern twist. Black, White, Gold with a pop of animal print.

I grew up in a tiny bungalow in Up-state New York. We lived on a winding dirt road flanked by two large lakes and acres of lush forests. Nature brings me back to my humble beginnings. It is my reset and often where I am least guarded and the most inspired.

Coco Channel is the epitome of Classic & Elegant, while Ralph Lauren gives me inspiration for Western vibes, Textures, and Classic Americana. I am also inspired by the Original Supermodels / "Super Women": Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington, and Naomi Campbell.

I studied Art History in College and even though I did not pursue a career in art, it still has a stronghold on my heart and influences my designs. Some of my favorite artists are Michelangelo, the ultimate sculptor. Gustav Klimt for his use of gold leaf. Yayoi Kusama for her modern pattern play and immersive exhibits.

Every team needs a wedding angel, and at Terry Kaye Events, that’s Delilah Yoder. Known as our "Team Mom," Delilah brings a calming presence, a tireless work ethic, and a deep love for weddings—not to mention, she’s guaranteed to shed a tear during the mother-son dance (with four boys of her own, how could she not?).

Delilah’s journey with TKE started in an unexpected way—a simple conversation at their sons’ baseball practice quickly turned into a heart-to-heart about her love for weddings. Before long, she was by Terry’s side at every event, bringing her unshakable dedication, attention to detail, and tough-as-nails work ethic to the team. There is truly nothing Delilah can’t do.

When she’s not making wedding magic happen, Delilah is balancing life with her husband, four busy boys, and their beloved pup, embracing the beautiful chaos of family life with the same heart and grace she brings to every event.
